4/19 BEBS Poster Completion
Although today is the day of the fair, we worked on this on 4/14. We went to Dr. Kazempour’s room to get our poster where we left it and it had disappeared. As shown by the picture below, we had it completed, and unfortunately it’s now nowhere to be found.
4/12/16 BEBS Work day
Today we worked on our poster which will be presented on April 19th. We already had everything typed up, so we cut it out using funky scissors, mounted it on scrapbook paper, and then put that on the tri-fold posterboard. We made a lot of progress today, and on Thursday we plan to put on some pictures and do the finishing touches. 
Nolde Forest Open House Service Hours 4/3 BEBS
On April 3, 2016, we went to Nolde Forest for their monthly open house program. We presented a craft to kids on turtles, using paper plates and tissue paper.
Nolde Forest Open House – 3/15/16 – (BEBS)
We had a successful day leading a craft for kids, teaching them about fish in Pennsylvania streams. To demonstrate this we used different color tissue paper to show that different types of fish have different colors and textures. In addition to the craft, we taught them facts about Pennsylvania fish. The kids and the parents seemed to enjoy their day at Nolde Forest.
Great Backyard Bird Count 2/23 (BEBS)
On Monday, February 15th, I went to Nolde Forrest and participated in the Great Backyard Bird Count. This meant I was able to participate in counting birds at the feeders in the park, and that information was then sent to a University for further study. I learned a lot about birds the day I was there. The park rangers had displays all over the room we were in and also had a Powerpoint put together for the kids they were expecting that day. I am looking forward to coming back to the forest to continue my hours. It will be more exciting for me know that I learned how to differentiate between the birds local to our area.

Hello, our team name is BEBS! BEBS consists of Brooke, Emily, Becca and Skye. We are all Education majors besides Skye, who is a Communications major. We are looking forward to this Service Project and are excited to help the community! 🙂
