J.A.M worked with Nolde Forest to help observe the bird in conjunction with Cornell University. We all had a great time working with the rangers from Nolde and learned not only about all the types of bird around Pennsylvania but what our observation does for the study done by Cornell. We met some amazing volunteers from all around the area as well as fellow students working on the same project. Each one of us took away some form of respect for nature and its beauty because of the time we spent looking for birds. We would all recommend working in Nolde to help make it clean as well as spending time in the forest walking around and enjoying its natural beauty. We are extremely grateful for this semester to bring us this opportunity and we can not wait to help protect our forests for future generations.

J.A.M. spills in Nolde
Jordan, Aniyah, and Matt participated in the Project FeederWatch at Nolde Forest. What we did involved watching for an anomalies in the birds migrations. If we found any bird that is supposed to be farther north or south of Pennsylvania then we know we that climate change would affecting migration patterns. We also had to keep track of the number of birds visiting the feeders. Fortunately for us we did not see any new birds, only the birds we local to this area. What we did get were some amazing pictures of birds!
