Group Introduction
Hey everyone, we are Yassify the Environment! First we have Ella Rivera and she is a 23 year old Global Studies major, second we have Keetha Sai and she is a 19 year old criminology major, third we have Sunrose Rousnee and they are a 19 year old psychology & political science major, lastly we have Giovanna DeLima and she is a 21 year old journalism major. The project that we decided to be apart of is painting, sanding, and designing garden boxes at Southwest Middle School. Through this experience we researched why the bees are essential to our environment and the decline of the bee population as a whole.
Research Description
Our research project focused on the general overview of how environment issues such as climate change, pollution, and pesticide use affect the bees and their population decline. We wanted to research this topic in order to expose the exact way human lives benefit from the bees and will suffer in their absence. We looked at statistics, science, and facts of why we need the bees in our environment and what we can do to protect them!

Project Description
Our service project was in partnership with Southwest Middle School to paint their garden boxes. We were able to use our creativity to make something our bees + the environment will benefit from through these garden boxes. We began first with sanding them, then painting, and adding on designs. As a result of our work Southwest Middle School will be able to teach it’s students the importance of the bees + pollination in our environment.

Reflection
From the beginning we were excited to start this project due to us already knowing each other and helping our community out. We knew that a major priority would be communication to respect the deadlines that was necessary for the project. It was a bit daunting at first but we then quickly realized the kind of work that we would be doing and had so much fun doing so!
