EquatIO

EquatIO software allows you to create mathematical equations, formulas and more directly on your computer. EquatIO features include:

  • Equation Editor: Create your math and science expressions by typing right into the editor.
  • LaTeX Editor
  • Graph Editor: Create and customize single or multiple graphs, plot ordered pairs or tables of points and more.
  • Handwriting recognition: Handwrite math expressions using a touchscreen device or mouse pointer.
  • Speech input: Dictate equations and formulas aloud. Your spoken input is written to expressions.
  • EquatIO mobile: A mobile companion that enables you to use your phone or tablet.
  • Insert mathspace: A collaborative workspace that enables you and your students to make math together.
  • Screenshot reader: Turn any equation across the web into accessible, editable math with the EquatIO Screenshot Reader.

How It’s Used

  • Take a picture of your chalkboard or whiteboard and convert expressions into digital form
  • Screen grab an expression from a website, PDF, etc., and edit it in EquatIO
  • Convert expressions into Latex to paste into Canvas
  • Option to have expressions read out loud
  • Students can work collaboratively in a Google doc using expressions
