EP2DS History

EP2DS (International Conference on Electronic Properties of Two-Dimensional Systems; it started as EP”Quasi-“2DS) made its successful start on 24-28 August, 1975 at Brown University, Rhode Island, USA. In the early time, the scopes are limited mainly to two dimensional systems, such as electrons at surfaces, interfaces, or layered materials. But with expansion of participants’ interest into yet lower dimensions, the conference now also covers zero and one dimensional systems.

The number of participants has been kept around 400, in order to make the conference stimulating and comfortable.
