SUMMARY: The Emerging Researchers in Exoplanet Science (ERES) conference series is aimed at early career scientists (graduate students, postdocs, advanced undergraduates) to present their research and to network with peers in order to enhance collaboration within the exoplanet community. Researchers of all career stages working in all branches of exoplanetary science and related disciplines are encouraged to attend – though if necessary, preference will be given to early-career participants (undergraduates, graduate students, and postdocs) in the participant selection process. Thanks to generous funding from The Heising-Simons Foundation we intend to cover registration fee and travel costs for many of the accepted participants.

DATES: August 1-2, 2022, at Penn State University in State College, PA (*).
(*) NOTE: Subject to COVID restrictions, we may host a welcome/networking reception on July 31st, 2022.

TRAVEL SUPPORT: We intend to cover or defray travel costs for many of the accepted non-local participants with accepted presentations (talk/poster).

LODGING SUPPORT: We intend to reserve and cover lodging at the Hyatt Place State College for accepted non-local participants. We will ask these participants to fill out a separate lodging form after registration, which will identify your arrival & departure dates and any preferences.

COVID INFORMATION: As networking is an important part of this conference, we are currently planning to hold ERES VII in-person at Penn State, with partial virtual support in the form of digital posters and live-streamed talks. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation, and if it is necessary to change the conference format, we will announce the change no later than June 3, 2022. Regardless of vaccination status, as per Penn State guidelines, all participants will be required to mask indoors.
