Interests

Renewable Energy Generation

As atmospheric CO2 levels rise every year, so does my fascination with renewable energy. I am particularly interested in solar energy generation. As part of the energy engineering curriculum, I have learned the science and economics behind several types of renewable energy generation such as solar, hydropower, and wind power.

Energy Storage

At Penn State, I took two electrochemical engineering classes my senior year. These classes opened my eyes to the importance of energy storage as it relates to renewable energy generation and the shift away from the use of traditional fossil fuels in the US. I have experimented with several different chemical batteries while building an electric powered skateboard.

Sustainability

We have one Earth and no Plan B to migrate to another planet if we have to. This means us humans need to step up our sustainability game to ensure life can prosper in the future. My education in environmental engineering and LEED GA accreditation allows me to realize the importance of sustainability. I would like to accelerate sustainable practices by working on projects that benefit the Earth and society.

Sports and Fitness

In my free time I enjoy working out at the gym, going for runs, and playing sports. In high school I played soccer and rugby. Now I play intramural football and soccer at school. I also like playing pick up basketball and snowboarding.
