Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Adele and Many Other Artists Lead in Grammy Nominations for the 65th Annual Grammy Awards

STATE COLLEGE– This upcoming Grammy awards will be the 65th anniversary and held on Feb. 5 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The academy is hoping that this year they can return to the normal operating procedure after the pandemic.

Nominations For 65th Annual Grammys To Be Unveiled On November 15

Stars have been looking forward to this event as well with high hopes of breaking records. Iconic artist, Beyoncé, currently holds the title of the winningest woman in Grammy in history with 28 awards. Beyoncé has nine chances this upcoming Grammys to add to that already impressive total. Not only that, but she has a career total of 88 nominations. If she earns three more awards, she will match classical conductor, Georg Solti, for most Grammy wins.

There are also many other artists who have collected some impressive nominations. Kendrick Lamar with eight; Adele and Brandi Carlile have seven each;  and Harry Styles, Mary J. Blige, Future, DJ Khaled, and the producer and songwriter The-Dream with six each.

Many artists will be hoping to receive the album of the year award. These artists include Beyonce, for “Renaissance”; Adele, for “30”; Kendrick Lamar, for “Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers,”; Harry Styles, for “Harry’s House”; Lizzo, for “Special”; Brandy Carlile, for “In These Silent Days”; Mary J. Blige, for “Good Morning Gorgeous”; Coldplay, for “Music of the Spheres”; Abba, for “Voyage,”; and Bad Bunny, for “Un Verano Sin Ti.”

The academy recognizes recordings released from Oct. 1 2021 to Sept. 30, 2022, with 16,741 eligible entries. The academy is looking forward to returning back to normal with only a few Covid-19 precautions set in place.
