The following individuals are Penn State Faculty and Staff members who make up the Penn State University Libraries Evanisko Project Team:

Joel Priddy
Associate Professor of Graphic Design
Joel Priddy is an award-winning illustrator and cartoonist. His graphic novels include Pulpatoon: Pilgrimage, The Preposterous Voyages of IronHide Tom, and The Gift of the Magi. He has taught design, illustration, and sequential art at Virginia Commonwealth University, Memphis College of Art, and Penn State. Joel is one of the main Evanisko Project contacts in Graphic Design and worked with students on the Site Study project during the Spring 2021 semester.
Phil Choo
Department Head and Professor of Graphic Design
Phil Choo was appointed the head of the Graphic Design program in Penn State in December 2018. Prior to arriving in Happy Valley, he was head of the M.F.A.program in graphic design in the Department of Art, Graphic Design and Art History at Oklahoma State University. Phil is one of the main Evanisko Project contacts in Graphic Design.

Taylor Shipton
Assistant Teaching Professor of Graphic Design
Taylor Shipton is an assistant teaching professor within the Graphic Design program at Penn State. She received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in from Penn State, where she also received the Creative Achievement Award during her M.F.A. studies. She has a background in experiential design, design photography, and communication design. Taylor worked with students on the Resilience Poster project from Fall 2021.

Emily Burns
Assistant Professor of Graphic Design
Emily Burns has a background in fine arts and design and practical experiences in painting, illustration, and photography bring a diverse, interdisciplinary approach to image-making within a design framework. For the Evanisko Project, Emily is working with students on the concept of Project Identity during the Spring 2022 semester.
Huiwon Lim
Assistant Professor of Graphic Design
Huiwon Lim previously served as a lecturer at Iowa State University, which is where he earned his M.F.A. in Graphic Design, a graduate certificate in human-computer interaction, and a master’s degree in environmental graphic design. Huiwon worked with Penn State Graduate-Level Graphic Design students on the Pollinator Project, an exploration of the impact of pollinators in Centre County in the Summer 2021.

Binky Lush
Manager Discovery Access and Web Services
Binky Lush directs the work of multiple teams in developing, enhancing and maintaining key systems and services that support the mission of discovery, access, and preservation for the Libraries, including solutions for discovery platforms, digital library collections, scholarly communications, electronic record archiving, and research data.
Henry Pisciotta
Arts and Architecture Librarian
Henry is the liaison librarian covering Penn State’s programs in the Stuckeman School, the School of Visual Arts, the Department of Art History, and the Palmer Museum of Art. He has held similar positions at Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Minnesota. His most recent publication is on the design of library spaces that stimulate curiosity.
