Project Identity – Spring 2022

In the Spring 2022 Semester, The Evanisko Project needed to create a dedicated project identity that would identify all of the work that is on display as Evanisko Project Content. Emily Burn’s GD 203 Advanced Typography students took on the challenge of creating a cohesive project identity. Four groups of students each created an all-encompassing Project Identity, complete with logos, font selections, colors, social media standards, animations, and more.

The four identities went head to head for three months, racking up several hundred votes from students, faculty, and staff. In the end, Project Identity 1 was the winner, earning nearly 40% of the collected votes.

Coming Up With an Identity

Sophomore graphic design students met with Project Coordinator Hannah Strouse to as her questions about the needs of the Evanisko Project. The groups were given images of the previous semester’s work, examples of Evanisko Project presentations and advertising, as well as five descriptive adjectives: Spunky, Unique, Artistic, Original, and Inspiring.

The four groups went through a process of design and critique before presenting their project identity ideas to the Evanisko Project Staff, Hannah Strouse and Binky Lush.
