The visual arts section was the most submitted category this year and with 1/3 of all the submissions accepted, so we made sure to give the readers jaw-dropping visual experience. The winner of the visual arts section “True Nature” was a wonderful digital masterpiece showing how nature is truly a part of a person, while we have actually pieces of nature portrayed throughout the magazine as well. As the visual arts editor, I was looking for pieces that could be easily paired with the written submissions, and photos that we have not seen before. The most wonderful pieces of art always make the viewer feel something, and the artwork in this magazine will definitely make the audience feel something.
