Best Photo: Cream and Sugar by Kara Bachert, who is a communications major. Kara says, “I just love being able to capture an emotion, not only with photography but anything in that realm, like graphic design and cinematography, Creating something out of nothing is my specialty.”
Leopard by Yen-Chih Lin, who is a computer science graduate student from Taiwan. “I like to capture the moments that touch me as real as possible and share them with others. A photo I took in Philadelphia won the first place in Penn State Harrisburg photo contest last year.”
Genuine Love by Molly Dempsey, who is majoring in Human Development and Family Studies. Molly says, “I have two sisters, Courtney and Emily, who both go to Penn state Harrisburg with me. I have a deep appreciation for nature and love spending time outdoors. I also really enjoy listening to music, especially Bon Iver.”

Working Women by Khadijah Okoya, who is a major in Business Marketing from Lagos, Nigeria. “My interests include community service projects catered towards less-privileged children and women. My hobbies entail Afro Beats dance and videography. My photography has been featured in the Chatham Hall literary magazine, Iris.”
The Hidden Tunnel by Mason Baughman, who is a graduate student in Applied Behavioral Analysis. “I have recently started walking as a way of getting out and exploring things and the camera is a good medium to capture these experiences.”
Flicker by Emily Witmier, who is a communications major from Pottsville. “I am a part of Kappa Beta Gamma, a sorority on campus. I enjoy baking and spending time with family and friends. I plan to work in higher education after I graduate.”
Rapids by Camryn Shope, who is a second-year biochemistry major from New Bloomfield. She is a past winner of the Best Essay award, and she’s been published in Fission.
