Fiction Editor Evan Attivo is in his second year at Penn State Harrisburg and is majoring in biology. This is also his second time working for the magazine as a fiction editor. After college, he plans to pursue forensic science. An avid horror enthusiast, his interest in the genre has motivated him to write horror fiction and to complete his first novel, an excerpt of which can be found in last year’s issue of the magazine.  He hopes to have it published in the near future.

Assistant Nonfiction and Assistant Poetry Editor Cayla Garman is a second year Creative Writing major at Penn State Harrisburg. An aspiring poet, her poetry has been featured in Penn State Harrisburg’s Fission and the Vita Brevis Anthology Brought to Sight & Swept Away. In addition to her editing role at From the Fallout Shelter, she is the Editor-in-Chief of The Blue & White Journal from student media practicums. On campus, Cayla also works as a Lion Guide providing advising help and mentoring students. She enjoys hiking, dancing, song writing, and spending time with friends.

Assistant Fiction Editor Dustin Hyder is a junior at Penn State Harrisburg majoring in English and American Studies. When he’s not reading, writing, or doing homework, he enjoys making music, playing video games, and going on hikes. A lifelong resident of Central Pennsylvania, he currently lives in New Cumberland.

Visual Arts Editor Emily Pettet is a graduating senior finishing up an English degree. She is thrilled to hold the position for a second year in a row and is grateful for the opportunity to work on the magazine during her final semester. When she isn’t trying to write wonky stories about giant robotic chickens or fairies with gothic tendencies, she enjoys sewing costumes from obscure anime series and building miniature models.

Nonfiction and Poetry Editor Kelleigh Stevenson is a senior Creative Writing major at Penn State Harrisburg. This is Kelleigh’s second year aboard the editorial team of From the Fallout Shelter, and her fourth year publishing her work. She is excited to be back on the team for her final semester and is thankful for the opportunities she’s been provided to explore and grow her writing.
