DESIGN THINKING

Designers are asked to be – amongst other things – creatives, risk takers, and problem solvers. How do they think and how do they get to think this way? How much does the environment in which one grows up play a role in the way one thinks? What is the role of a design ecosystem in fostering productive, and creative, design thinking and innovation? Lastly, how has the shift to digital tools transformed the way we design and think?
In partnership with the School of Engineering Design, Technology, and Professional Programs, the 2020 Stuckeman Center for Design Computing (SCDC) Flash Symposium will explore the design thinking process through a variety of lenses including environmental psychology, neuroscience, design, sociology, anthropology, and more.
