The Dorman lab is proud to announce recently minted Forensics M.P.S Sarah Stratton and Samantha Jarvis! Sarah is working at the Vermont State Crime Lab in Waterbury, Vermont. The lab also celebrates Callan Glover earning her B.S. in Geosciences. Callan will be pursuing a Ph.D. at the University of Nevada.

Postdoctoral Scholar Benedikt Weggler completes his stay in the Dorman Lab. Benedikt will be working as a Post Doc in Jef Focant’s lab at the University of Liege.
Dr. Dorman attends The 2nd Annual Responsible Shale Extraction Symposium at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Dorman Lab Welcomes Dr. Beate Gruber
The Dorman lab is excited to welcome our new post-doc Dr. Beate Gruber! Beate completed her PhD at the University of Rostock in Germany studying the development and optimization of non- and minimally invasive methods for the monitoring volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds in body fluids and breath.

Dorman Lab Welcomes Dr. Benedikt Weggler
The Dorman lab is excited to welcome our new post-doc Dr. Benedikt Weggler! Bene completed his PhD at the University of Rostock in Germany focusing on non-targeted analysis of anthropogenic pollutants. In the Dorman group he hopes to expand his expertise in environmental samples and share his knowledge in data reduction.

Paulina, Kyra, and Roman attended the ACS Fall National Meeting in Philadelphia. They each gave a great oral presentation!
LECO ChromaTOF Training
Paulina, Kyra, Callan, and Roman travelled to St. Joseph, MI for an intensive course in ChromaTOF Software at LECO. The group learned a lot and really enjoyed their time on the Silver Coast!

Kyra was Selected for the 2016 SciFinder Future Leaders Program
Kyra has been selected to participate in the 2016 SciFinder Future Leaders Program this August. Kyra is one of 26 Ph.D. students and postdoctoral researchers from the U.S. and around the world who will attend the program. It includes a week of professional development and networking opportunities in Columbus, Ohio, followed by attendance of the 252nd ACS National Meeting & Exposition. Kyra is giving an oral presentation on her current research at the ACS meeting. Congratulations Kyra!

Paulina Presents at the ACS National Meeting
Paulina attended the ACS National Meeting in San Diego. She presented her work in the Environmental Aspects of Unconventional Oil & Gas Production & Hydraulic Fracturing Session. She learned a lot about related work in the field of unconventional gas development.
