Research in the Dorman Lab is centered on developing chromatographic methods for trace compounds in complex matrices. Chromatography is the most prevalent analytical tool in use today and the field is expanding rapidly, especially with the advent of multidimensional separations. Our lab utilizes liquid (LC) and gas chromatography (GC), in addition to mass spectrometry among other detection techniques, with applications in the environmental, forensic, and physical sciences. We actively collaborate with biochemists, theorists, hydrologists, and environmental engineers.
