Effective systems and processes are in place to ensure the tracking of quality assured materials from the supply source to the manufacturing facility and ultimately to the consumer, in sync with industry standards. For example, integrated supply and stock control systems, including MRP, MPS, Kanban and Electronic Data Interchangeable (EDI), are utilized to ensure that materials, WIP and finished stock are maintained at cost effective levels throughout the business cycle.
Electronic Data Interchangeable (EDI) secures the data exchange with customers for the purposes of demand planning and for maintaining advanced delivery information records.
The ultimate goal is to ensure that the manufacturing team collaborates with the supply chain management team in order to work together and produce excellent results by delivering assured quality products, according to customer specifications, within the budget and at the right time.
