One aspect about college that many people are sure to ask current students about is the food.  Eating three meals a day in the dining halls can become tedious, at least it is to me.  The food, to the best of my knowledge, was “not bad” until last weekend when I had the luxury of going out to eat to two restaurants off campus.  These experiences made me realize to take delicious food for granted, since you don’t know when your next scrumptious meal will be.

The Field is a restaurant that is well known for its burgers, milkshakes, and french fries.  I had been divulging in all of these dishes here on campus; however, I almost forgot how speechless one can become when they bite into a burger that is perfect in every way.  The burgers themselves, as described on the menu are”hand formed daily using our private blend of sirloin, chuck, brisket, & short rib.”  I don’t know how you feel about burgers, but this description alone made me want to try every burger option they had to offer.  If you can imagine the perfect burger patty, then it should be simple to imaging the bibb lettuce, crisp onions, juicy tomato and many more toppings on the soft and sweet brioche bun.  Personally, this burger could not get any better.  To top everything off, they brand the top of their buns.  For a while, my favorite burger had been back home in Princeton, NJ; however, this burger has now be placed as my #1 burger.  Feel free to not only say where you favorite burger is from, but also describe it.  There can be any toppings ranging from onion rings all the way to pulled pork.Image result for the field state college

If you look closely at the picture, you can see an enormous mountain of french fries.  And yes, they are in a huge pile on the table.  One of the best parts, other than the burgers of course, at the Field are the french fries.  Not only are they given to you in an unconventional, yet enticing manor, but you can also get a wide variety of fries with various toppings.  In addition to salt, pepper, old bay, parmesan and truffle, buffalo chicken, and even prime rib, they place the fries in a huge pile in the middle of the table for everyone to share.  I would 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone because of its uniqueness in style, strong and complex flavors, and environment.

Taking a small step back from the restaurant and focusing more on the food, we can see that the burger has been around for many years.  The hamburger itself was created in the early 1900 in the United States of America by Louis Lassen.  This is just one of the many theories in regards to the origins of the hamburger.  Regardless where or when it originated, it is a staple throughout the entire country.  Almost all restaurants, American restaurants, have this dish on their menu; furthermore, I personally know of some mexican and italian restaurants that also serve hamburgers.

So it really does not matter where you are in the world, country, or town because I am sure you will be able to find a burger with little to minimum effort.  Enjoy!
