7 March – Monday

8:55 a.m. Guided tour of the Mémorial de la Shoah with Philippe BOUKARA

11-1-Testimony by and discussion with Bernard Herz, a French Holocaust survivor, at the Mémorial

5:00-6:30 – Discussion at the Mémorial de la Shoah with Frida Wattenberg, former member of Organisation juive de Combat (Jewish Resistance movement)

Dinner with filmmaker David Drach

8 March – Tuesday

10 a.m.: Meeting and discussion with Esther Senot, a survivor of Birkenau camp, organized by the Union des Déportés d’Auschwitz (39, boulevard Beaumarchais)

2:30 p.m. Visit to Mont-Valérien, Haut-lieu de la mémoire nationale (Frida Wattenberg’s former teacher, Renée Lévy, is buried there)

9 March – Wednesday

9h-1:00 – visit and walking tour with Flora Goldenberg: Père-Lachaise cemetery (with emphasis on deportation memorial monuments) and the Panthéon (with emphasis on the plaque for ‘Les Justes”)

Lunch in the Latin Quarter

1:30 – Discussion with Pierre Birnbaum, historian and sociologist, Professeur emeritus of political sociology at Université de Paris I-Panthéon-Sorbonne, and a specialist in the history of French Jewry – meet at Café Le Rostand, 6, place Edmond Rostand.

10 March – Thursday

10:00-11:30 – Visit to the Mémorial de la Shoah in Drancy

6:00 p.m.  Screening of film, Serge et Beate Klarsfeld: Guerillos de la mémoire and discussion with filmmaker Elisabeth Lenchener, at her home

Final group dinner

11 March – Friday
