Research. My core linguistics research applies theoretical and experimental methods to explore structure, meaning, and sound in natural language. Visit my Linguistics Research page for more information and links to papers, and click here to see my TED talk on “double negatives”.
Education. I’m currently pursuing research and curriculum development projects that bring together my experience in linguistics and education to support teachers and schools, especially those serving bilingual and immigrant students.
Outreach. As Branch Coordinator of Bilingualism Matters at PSU, I create and implement activities and resources that translate research findings on bilingualism and language acquisition for more general audiences, including teachers and parents.
