The first news is Jon Jones, the UFC former champion was arrested because of drag racing at March 24th and was released a week after. This is not his first time getting in troubles like this. He was once arrested for a hit-and-run incident in last April. His next fight is coming at April 23rd UFC 197. Jon Jones was preparing for his fight for almost a year and recently his opponent dropped out the fight because he is currently suffering in a lower-body injury. Right now Jones’ opponent is changed to Ovince Saint Preux.
McGregor vs Diaz II is coming! After the loss to Nate Diaz, Conor Mcgregor gets his rematch pretty soon. Their fight will be held at July 9th UFC 200. After “The Notorious” lost his first fight after 12 straight wins, Jose Aldo, who was defeated by, McGregor kept calling out on him. However, McGregor got his rematch first. This surprised everyone. People start saying Dana White, the president of UFC is spoiling McGregor and they think he thinks Nate Diaz’s win is an “accident”. it is his choice to go up to light weight, so the loss should be counted on himself. Remember McGregor was beating Diaz in the first round, so we will see how it goes in July.
Warriors lost to Timberwolves on Tuesday night! Nobody was seeing this coming before the game! Now Warriors is going to face Spurs twice and Grizzlies twice in the rest of the regular season. They have to win all the four games to eclipse 95-96 Bulls’ record of regular season wins. When everyone is saying Warriors is definitely going to break Bulls’ record, they lost two games in last three games. Things happen. At the beginning of the season my prediction of this Warriors is 69 wins, and right now they already have 69 wins before four games left. In either way, this Warriors is making history. I actually want to witness them passing 95-96 Bulls to become the best regular season team in the history. Wish them the best luck on the four remaining games.
Manny Pacquiao is fighting Timothy Bradley on Saturday! It will be their second fight. In last fight Pacquiao defeated Bradley, and now this may be his last fight before he retires. After suffering a shoulder injury, Pacquiao now is fully prepared for this fight. Will Bradley get his revenge or Pacman will give him a second loss? We will found out tomorrow! By the way Pennstate boxing team is fighting national championships finals today in Seattle. Wish them good luck!
I could not believe the Warriors lost to the Timberwolves, but I did see that Curry just set an NBA record for over 288 3 pointers in one season.
Seems unfortunately common for fighters to find themselves the center of controversy. Whether drugs, violence or just saying something inappropriate, many of these MMA fighters and boxers keep getting in trouble. I guess when you’re job is to be violent, violence and hate outside the ring is not unheard of.
Even though I watch a lot of ESPN, I must have missed the Jon Jones story. How awful it is that these people have so much influence on others, and they choose to set the wrong example. I am actually kind of excited for McGregor vs Diaz II. I think that McGregor will be smarter and better know his opponent this time around. Perhaps he will show more respect too since he lost the last time. The Warriors is very interesting, all the analysts were saying that they had the record easily. Not so fast! And did you see the Spurs went for it last night? I wonder if they will at home again, that will be a heck of a matchup! I want to see Pacquiao go out with a win though, I have always respected him as a boxer and I am a fan of his style both as a person and as a fighter. Good posts, all interesting topics!
