Hello! My name is Denise Montelongo and I am an M.S Entomology student in the Deans Lab. I received my BS in Biology from the University of Houston, where I worked in an Ecology lab for three years. I assisted in a vast array of experiments focused on invasion ecology, tri-trophic interactions, wetland flora and fauna sensitivity, and plant-herbivore interactions. During my time, there I was encouraged to pursue my interest in natural history collections which was greatly cemented after reading Curators: Behind the Scenes of Natural History Museums by Lance Grande. I’m currently working on gall-inducing wasps at Penn State.
