Medgar Evers College of the City University of New York, named after the slain Civil Rights Leader, Medgar Wiley Evers,  is located in Crown heights, Brooklyn. Dr. Dereck Skeete, Professor of Chemistry and Environmental Science is the leader of the GeoPath Program at Medgar Evers.
