Professional Development

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Professional development refers to the professional skills you need to navigate and succeed as an emerging academic professional. Professional development is not institutionalized by the department, so students are responsible for individually and collectively identifying their professional development needs and seeking out opportunities to meet them.

The professional development opportunities listed here are organized in three categories:

Departmental workshop series: Workshops organized by students and facilitated by students and faculty in the department.

TA/Teaching resources: Resources for teacher training and resources for your students.

University resources: Workshops and trainings offered throughout the university.

Web resources: Articles on issues of professional development and academic life more broadly.
