The Department of Geosciences at Penn State University values diversity, prioritizes inclusion, and strives for justice and equity within our community and beyond.

We value the ways our fundamental science and teaching efforts support sustainability and environmental justice; we work to understand and grow connections between our work and societal needs.  

The Department of Geosciences Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee coordinates efforts aimed at broadening justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion within the department and works closely with the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences Associate Dean for Educational Equity to support efforts within the college.
