Hi Class!
My name is Andrea Sabo and was born and raised in the heart of Europe, Hungary. I moved to the USA 16 years ago and since I live in different areas outside of Philadelphia.
I graduated from nursing school at age 18, it was an old educational system, and began to work in the local hospital. After four years of shift work, I needed a change. For three years I worked for an economic and law book publishing company, which provided me with marketing and leadership experiences. I relocated to America and began to rebuild my career. My English was limited but find a job at Dunkin’ Donuts. I learned English by serving coffee, doughnuts, and ice cream. Currently, I was employed, for more than 12 years, by a Catholic college. I began my professional career as a work study, then a part-time employee that evolved into an associate position in the development and alumni relations office.
My major is Organizational Leadership, and I will graduate in December 2017. One of my long-term goals is to learn Spanish, not just getting around but able to read and write on a professional level.
I’m interested in cultures and love diversity. I was fortunate to meet people from all over the world, Ecuador, Japan, India, Sweden, and many other countries. It is fascinating to me how different and how similar we are!
Recently began to practice Bikram yoga and enjoying the mental and the physical changes. My journey in the yoga world started 13 years ago and tried various styles. Yoga changed my life, brought balance and taught acceptance.
Great to meet you all! Have a successful semester!
Andrea
