Hello Class,
My name is Vincent Anderson, and I prefer to go by Vinnie. I am a senior at Penn State University, studying the major of Labor Relations and Human Resources, with an undergraduate in Organizational Leadership. I live in Sterling Heights Michigan, and work full time, and have done so since my college journey began. I am still unsure as to if I will pursue my MHRM degree right after finishing my bachelors, and have mixed feelings on the subject.
Professionally, I am a Human Resources Manager, and have been in my position within different organizations for the past 7 years. The last year and a half of my career has been spent in the food manufacturing environment, and I believe I have found my calling. I currently am interviewing for a HRBP position with a global food manufacturing company, and am on my final interview with the company, so fingers crossed.
In my spare time, I am either reading a book, hiking with my doges, or am at the gym. I am very passionate about the things that I surround my self with professionally, and thrive on helping others reach their goals.

Markeia,
I thank you for your kind words and wishing me luck. I actually received confirmation today that I am getting the job. I am so excited for the new opportunity and that I will be working for a large global company.
Work while in school is a difficult task, but it is doable, with a few different life modifications. I have had to shut out all personal life and any form of down time that I used to have. It has been a stressful ride, but itll all be worth it once I get that degree.
I have been lucky enough to actually be at the level within an organization that I anticipated receiving after achieving my degree, but I landed the opportunity before completing my degree. Just remember, in life, you can do whatever you put your heart into and achieve the expected outcomes.

Nice to meet you Vinne, congrats on this being your senior year, I know that you have had to put in a lot of hard work and long hours. I am majoring in Labor & Employee Relations but I am currently just a full time student. My hat goes off to you for having so much dedication and drive to work full time and pursue your education. That is awesome that you are going for a position that you are interested in and I hope everything works out for you. Previously, I have worked in management and performing human resources duties; I decided to solidify a strong educational foundation behind my employment experience. I have a dog myself and he requires all my attentions when I’m not in class. Thanks for sharing your experience and if you have any suggestions please share.

It is great to meet you Vinnie. I worked briefly in a food manufacturing HR department. I had a summer internship working for a bubble gum factory developing a training manual for for one of their production positions. It was a very interesting position. I look forward to working with you this semester.
