About me

I’m a faculty member in Penn State University’s Online Geospatial Education Program. My role is two-fold: I advise students in our GIS certificate program, and I also teach courses (currently Making Maps That Matter With GIS and Problem Solving With GIS).

I work for Penn State from Austin, Texas (I’m a native Texan, born and raised in San Antonio), but my husband is a proud Penn State alum so we’re happy about maintaining a strong connection to the university.

When I’m not teaching and learning about GIS, I’m taking care of my family, running around Austin, cheering on the San Antonio Spurs, Texas Longhorns, and Penn State Nittany Lions, and sitting on my front porch watching the world go by.
