I have never really wanted to visit very urban areas for vacation. These areas, filled with manmade structures, have never been interesting to me. Natural structures are usually what I Iook for in a vacation, but there is a very large exception. I really want to experience the modern culture of Japan. I may not be the biggest fan of modern architecture, but I am a big fan of modern technology. Japan is one country that blends its modern tech with its urban landscape marvelously. In this blog, I will highlight some of the main places I would visit if I were to vacation in Japan.
Tokyo
This is the main reason I would want to visit Japan. This city, to me, is truly like any other city in the world. I understand that each city is unique in its own way, but Tokyo has such a unique atmosphere that it does not really compare that well with other cities. If I were to visit, I think I would spend a lot of my time simply just looking around. The city is massive and relatively safe, so exploration is certainly an option. I would also like to get a better taste of Japanese cuisine while I am there. Sushi is possibly my favorite food, and I can only imagine that it would be better in Japan itself. I would especially like to visit Shinjuku to see the vibrant lights that dominate the area. Traveling to my next destination on the trip, I feel that it is necessary to take the bullet train. The train reaches speeds of up to two hundred miles per hour and I have always been fascinated with them from a young age. I do not really know why we haven’t built any high-speed trains in the United States yet.
Kyoto
The other large place I would like to visit while in Japan would be Kyoto. Kyoto is another city in Japan that is usually referred to as the more traditional culture of the area. If you were to think of Japanese culture, this place would probably resemble many of your thoughts. There is so much to explore and learn in Kyoto. If I were to go to Kyoto, I would like to learn how to cook traditional Japanese food. They offer many short courses there, and the knowledge would serve my eating habits well. I would also like to travel around the pebble roads and zen gardens found around the area. This area generally just seems to be very peaceful.
These places look awesome. I’ve always wanted to travel to Japan to see an amazing culture and crazy sights! Tokyo should be one of the new wonders of the world. Kyoto seems like such as peaceful place as well.
