How Delaware County PA Master Gardeners fit into Yale’s “Six Americas”

The survey I conducted at a presentation for the Delaware County Master Gardeners reported on this post has now been processed by the Yale Program on Climate Change Communication. Shown below is how this group fits in the “Six Americas” categories.  There is strong concern about climate change, not typical of America generally as you see in the bar graph.  But one individual was “Dismissive” in this group.  These results may not be surprising for a group of gardeners.  May everyone continue to spread the word and incorporate climate in everyday discussions, and in the valuable interactions Master Gardeners have with citizens every day!

How Friends of the Wissahickon Park fit in Yale’s “Six Americas”

The survey I conducted at a presentation for the Friends of the Wissahickon reported on this post has now been processed by the Yale Program on Climate Change Communication. Shown below is how this group fits in the “Six Americas” categories.  Clearly a strong concern about climate change, and very uncharacteristic of the U.S. population!  Perhaps not surprising for a group like this–may everyone continue to spread the word and incorporate climate in everyday discussions, in addition to all the great work done on the ground to improve natural areas lik e the Wissahickon.
