Sampling Macroinvertebrates Inspires!

Going out with my General Ecology class last week to sample macroinvertebrates at Ridley Creek State Park with colleagues Lauren McGrath, aquatic ecologist with the Willistown Conservation Trust, and Gary Stolz, park naturalist, was such a joy!  We found all the right indicators like stonefly and mayfly larvae, and something they rarely pick up, an eel!  These mean a clean stream, and reflect the value of these natural areas to protect the biodiversity and water on which we all depend in this challenging time.
