Two Penn State engineering faculty members were named recipients of international awards from the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Established in 1963, AIAA is the world’s largest technical society devoted to the aerospace profession. Professor of Aerospace Engineering Ken Brentner will receive the AIAA Aeroacoustics Award, and Distinguished Professor of Mechanical Engineering Karen Thole will receive the AIAA Thermophysics Award.
