Instructions:
“Legacy” documents are those that were brought over from the previous Guidelines & Statements of Donor Intent database (before June 20, 2016, the “go-live” date for GuideLion). If these need to be updated, you can use the new application to request this.
From the Home page, click on the New Change Request button. Then enter the Master # for the document and click the ‘Get Document Content‘ button.
Tip: Don’t know the Master #? Please refer to the ‘Searching for Documents’ page.
Enter a Change Request Comment that accurately describes the change(s) required.
Within the document window, proceed to make changes. When finished making all the desired document changes, scroll down and click Submit.
What happens next?
The Office of Gift Planning personnel will determine if a full revision is required. Or, perhaps it is a simpler addendum/memorandum that is required.
If a full revision is required, then you will receive an email containing a link to the document. You’ll then need to review the document to determine if the Purpose Title, Fund Option, and designation of Endowed or Non Endowed is correct (pulled in correctly from the Legacy document?). Then, you’ll need to review all of the rest of the document information and supply additional field values where needed.
Once the required information is supplied, click the Generate Guideline Agreement button.
The Change Request then goes back to the Office of Gift Planning personnel and goes through the approval process (both Functional and Executive). Once approved, the revised document is then created, released, and finally, executed.
