Five towers (shown in blue in the map above) are instrumented with Picarro Cavity Ring-Down Spectrometers to measure carbon dioxide (CO2) dry mole fractions. The samples are drawn from tubes placed at 100 m AGL. The sample air is dried using a Nafion dryer and a supplementary pump (reflux method). A field calibration tank is sampled daily, with a zero-offset correction applied to the data. A secondary line of tubing allows for periodic leak checks.
