CFB Week 7

Let’s just breeze past results from Week 5 and Week 6 because it was nothing short of a disaster. Watching the results of these games left a bad taste in my mouth and ultimately a poor week of college football. This Week 7 is going to be different; its going to be legendary. For the second time in CFB in the AP poll era 6 undefeated teams after week 5 will be facing off against each other. The highlights of this weekend are Alabama @ Tennessee, Penn State @ Michigan, and Oklahoma State @ TCU.

I’m gonna make a bold statement right now; all 3 road teams listed above are winning. This week I have a 7 leg parlay sure to change our luck around.

Alabama ML Alabama is going to continue their undefeated season as their Heisman candidate QB Bryce Young comes back from injury and the Tide roll right on over Tennessee and their Heisman QB candidate Hendon Hooker. Many are expecting this game to be one of the best we’ll see all year, but I think this game is getting hyped up a little bit too much. Alabama is a CFB playoff contender and while Tennessee may seem like a challenge, Alabama is going to set the tone and let the rest of the CFB world that they are a legit powerhouse this year just like every other year.

Penn State ML We Are!!! Are you kidding me, this Fox Sports Big Noon Kickoff is going to be incredible. The rivalry between these two conferences foes is electric. Our RBs are going to fare well behind our strong offensive line and this will cause havoc in the secondary of Michigan’s defense. Our defense also looks to put pressure on Michigan’s untested offense. This will be the first challenge for Michigan this season and I don’t think they will be ready.

Ole Miss ML Ole Miss beats Auburn. Nothing more too it, Auburn is struggling this year, and Ole Miss is dominating. Ole Miss has an explosive offense that is going to put a lot of points on the board.

Kansas ML Although the Jayhawks undefeated season is over, this team isn’t finished. They are playing a struggling Oklahoma team that just had one of its most embarrassing losses in program history. Oklahoma is not in a good position and I think Kansas puts Oklahoma into an ever deeper hole.

Oklahoma State ML The Cowboys faced a challenge last week, but their dominant offense proved to be no joke. While TCU is having its best season in recent memory, their defense is going to be exposed this week. This game is going to be a high scoring affair and Oklahoma State will come out on top.

Mississippi State ML Mississippi State is having a great season and they face an overrated Kentucky team. I think they walk in and take care of business winning by 2 or more scores. This is there chance to show themselves as a legit threat in the SEC.

USC ML Calling undefeated USC an underdog this week against Utah is blasphemous. USC is going to beat Utah in a dominant manner and show why they are favorites for winning the PAC12.

This week is going to be a great week of conference-play games and this is a parlay that will cash in.

CFB Week 1 Predictions

The wonderful world of sports betting; after a week of practicing, I can say that I see why the market is growing. After placing a fun parlay on the NFL opener this Thursday, I got to see that having something invested in the game makes it a lot more fun. This gave me practice on placing different kinds of bets. See, in the sports betting world, you can place bets on the winner/loser, as well as over/under game score totals, win/loss margin, and much more. This week to start my blog on my parlay predictions, I have created a six leg parlay. For this to win money, all six parts of the bet must hit.

The first leg is a Friday game between Louisville and UCF. I took the under 61.5 half line. Meaning if the combined final score is less than 62, this leg hits. UCF is a good team, their offense had an impressive performance last week and put up 56 points. Meanwhile, Louisville struggled against an average team in Syracuse and scored only 7 points. UCF will struggle to put up a big score 2 weeks in a row, and for that reason I see the under being a good choice.

The second leg is the start of the Saturday slate of games with Arkansas State and Ohio State. Once again, I took the under, this line being under 68.5. Ohio State is going to absolutely dominate this game. After having a tough matchup against Notre Dame last week, the offense is going to look to take flight. They will probably lay off the gas come fourth quarter. I wouldn’t be surprised if Arkansas State didn’t score at all. This game will hit the under because Ohio State will show mercy.

The third leg is our first home game vs Ohio. This was a no brainer, because We Are, am I right? I took the moneyline, so when Penn State wins, this leg covers. No other explanation needed.

The fourth leg is where it starts to get a little bit tricky. I took Pitt plus 6 against Tennessee. This means, if Pitt loses by less than 6, the leg will cover. This was a tricky bet to judge. Pitt is coming off a roller coaster emotional game that they won, and they will bring the energy again this week. Pitt is 3-0 all time against Tennessee including last year’s 41-34 victory, so the plus 6 margin should do its part in the parlay.

The fifth leg is my favorite bet. It’s Florida vs Kentucky, with me taking Florida minus 6. If Florida wins by a touchdown or more, we win. Florida has a balanced offense that can win on the ground or in the air. Under their new head coach Billy Napier, I think Florida takes on the challenges presented by Kentucky’s defense.

The last leg was the hardest to read. Taking the “underdog” here, in the Baylor BYU matchup, I’m taking Baylor moneyline. Baylor beat BYU last year 38-24: this year is gonna be the same thing. The Baylor Bears are strong, and they are going to roll through the competition.

Stay tuned for next week’s blog when I go over the results from this week, and establish a new parlay for the following week.
