Before the day of words,
Young lovers rejoiced.
Dreaming of the gods
Finally hearing their voice.
But there was nothing,
They could not speak.
Their words fell short,
Silent and weak.
When the outsiders tried to speak,
The gods rejected their words:
Since you are different,
You will never be heard.
Hopefuls fought tirelessly,
Begging on their knees:
We are humans too,
Listen to us please!
The astonished gods
Stood frozen in shock,
Because the outcasts
We’re finally able to talk.
Alas, they were freed!
Having the power of word,
Their compelling voices
We’re finally heard.
