The Promise by Jaeden Yoshikawa

Lily dear, forget-me-not.
The thorned rose has buried me,
But for you the sun still shines.
Let your tears nourish you, you must grow,
Throw yourself to the wind and fly,
Seek new roots and bloom.

My colors will appear again in the petals of hydrangeas
And you will hear my voice in the baby’s breath
And you will feel my touch in the soft summer breeze

Sweet pea, sunlight of my existence,
Every day is ripe and full of beauty.
Promise me you’ll savor every moment,
And allow me to rest, at peace and with love,
In the garden of your encumbered heart.
