My name is Harish and I’m a DMD Major at Penn State! My interests include fashion design and sewing, soccer/football, PC gaming, and more recently 3D modeling, coding, and web design! I gradually self-learned sewing over the last 5 years or so, and it became my entry point into the broader world of design and art (which ultimately led me to the World Campus and the DMD program). I love drafting my own clothing patterns digitally and sewing a wide variety of garment styles including men’s tailoring (suit jackets, dress shirts, jeans, biker jackets) and womenswear (especially dresses!).

Over my time at Penn State, my interest in digital art and design as well as computer science has grown tremendously as I’ve taken classes in these areas. One of my interests is using 3D modeling to engage in more humane, sustainable, and accessible fashion design. Using 3D modeling to create dynamic and physically accurate prototypes of clothing would eliminate the material-usage of pattern drafting and physical mockup sewing, and it also presents exciting possibilities for generating bespoke garments from scans and reference images rather than measurements.

3D game design is another area that I’m exploring as we speak! My latest project is an Unreal Engine 5 remake of the 2012 gameĀ Slender: The Eight Pages by Mark J. Hadley. I’m having a blast creating detailed models in Blender and using the power of Unreal to recreate the original map with stunning graphics and details.

When I’m not studying, sewing, or working on my Slender remake, I love spending time with my family, my girlfriend Maya, and my sweet golden retriever girl Juliette
