Virtual Raincoat Try-ons (April 2023)
- 3D modeling was done in Blender
- I modeled my head and body using FaceBuilder and MakeHuman for Blender
- Fabric patterns were generated from scanned images that were expanded using Photoshop’s Content-Aware Fill and the Stable Diffusion 2.1 image-to-image AI model.
- I used Stable Diffusion AI for back-and-forth brainstorming to come up with futuristic garment designs (drawing inspiration from my personal interests in tailored clothing and the futuristic fashion depicted in pieces of pop culture likeĀ Star Wars)
Slenderman: a sartorial refresh (April 2023)
The model was created in Blender through the following steps:
- Retopologizing the Slenderman character model from Mark J. Hadley’s Slender: The Eight Pages (2012)
- Sculpting the low-poly mesh to be smoother and more detailed (e.g. defining the chin and fingers, rounding the head)
- Modeling the clothes as 2D meshes using Poly Build, vertex snapping, and a Shrinkwrap modifier
Special attention went into developing an elegant fit and including sharp details like lapels, jacket vents, buttons, pant creases, pocket flaps, and slightly roped shoulders. I focused especially on expressing my personal preferences for double breasted jackets, peak lapels, and nipped-in waistlines.
Blazer design render (May 2022)
- Created the high-poly model of myself, my jeans, and my shoes in Blender, including PBR materials and particle systems for hair
- Modeled the blazer in CLO, imported and textured it in Blender
