Noah grew up out West in Pittsburgh, PA before coming to Penn State as an Animal Science Major. Noah began working for the Harvatine lab in his sophomore year where he gained valuable experiences working with cattle. “Working in the lab was a great way to apply concepts being taught in AnSc 301, 201, 310 and even biochemistry.” Some of his favorite lab experiences included Infusing rumens with acetate, assisting with mammary gland biopsies, treating and passing cell cultures and performing PCRs. Noah graduated in 2013 and is continuing to work with dairy cows as a Food Animal Major at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. He has a pitbull and a hamster. Molly has a B.S. in Animal Science. She worked for Dr. Harvatine’s lab as an undergrad, assisting in both barn and lab activities. She is currently working on a ranch in Slater, Colorado as a stocker manager.
