Blog Ideas

I view people as puzzles, each piece a unique attribute or hobby that adds to the overall development of their personality. Our class discussion about lenses caused me to think about how people reveal different pieces of themselves to different people.

One large part of my personality is my competitive spirit and athletic involvement. I played soccer my entire life, but I recently had to stop due to injuries. I channeled my previous passion for athletics into health and fitness. I would love to create a blog that focuses on how to develop healthy habits as a college student. College can be a very hard adjustment for people who are used to having control over what they eat and how it is prepared. Over the past few weeks, I have developed ways to take control of my diet and implement exercise habits that are both fulfilling and beneficial.

Along with health and wellness, I also love music. Along with most of America, I fought to get tickets to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. I think she is a powerful female icon and businesswoman. It could be extremely fun and motivating to dissect her albums and songs to determine her motivation for writing them. The lessons and experiences she sings about are applicable to many aspects of my life and the lives of many others. Instead of using music as background noise, I would like to analyze the lyrics and extract the meaning.

  1. Hi Ali,
Like you, I am also an athlete who is into music. I think that it is so cool how you figured out how to redirect your passion for sports into your daily life and that you want to share it in a blog. I think that would be super interesting. As for Taylor Swift, I can’t say that I am a swifty, but I do appreciate her songs when they come on occasionally. Still, analyzing music would be an intriguing topic to read about. I’m excited to see what you pick!

  2. This post is inspiring! I love how you compared people’s personalities and unique attributes to a puzzle piece that may look different depending on who the person is with. I too consider myself an athlete, though maybe not in the traditional sense as I have 13 years of dance experience. Injuries were always a fear of mine and how one false move could change the trajectory of one of my great passions. I am always willing to read about how I can better improve my health and wellness, so I am excited to read what you have to share! I too am a Taylor Swift fan, her level of lyricism is unmatched!
