The Conference
Our aim is to bring together experts in K-theory and C*-algebras to discuss recent developments in structure, classification, dynamics, topology, and geometry, with particular emphasis on dimension theories (nuclear dimension, decomposition rank, asymptotic dimension, various dynamic notions of dimension). Unexpected connections between these areas have recently emerged, we hope the conference will help participants better understand these connections, and foster future interdisciplinary collaborations. As well as talks detailing recent advances in the areas represented, the conference will include some expository talks designed to explain the basic ideas, techniques, and problems of an area to other attendees. It will also include problem / discussion sessions to explore techniques and open questions in more depth.
This conference is funded by the NSF.
