Ingredients:
- 4 frozen waffles
- ½ c shredded cheese
- 4 eggs
- 1 c milk
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
- maple syrup (optional)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Arrange 2 of the waffles in an 8×8 baking dish and top with cheese.
- Repeat layer with next 2 waffles and cheese.
- In large bowl, beat eggs with pepper.
- Pour eggs over waffle/cheese layers in baking dish.
- Cover and chill for at least 4 but up to 24 hours.
- Bake uncovered for 30-40 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Sprinkle any remaining cheese, drizzle with syrup and let stand for 10 minutes.
