STEP 1 – Complete internship application forms by November 15th and Send Cover letter + Resume to Paul Hefty via email: pdh16@psu.edu

STEP 2 – Interview #1 with Paul Hefty (PSU Instructor)
STEP 3 – Interview #2 with Site Supervisor
*Applicant will then be informed of Internship offer or wait list – If offered Internship, applicant must accept by November 30th
ACCEPTED INTERN DESIGN PROCESS

STEP 1 – Start Intern Process / Expectations / Assessment by meeting with Paul Hefty (Intern Supervisor) by December 5th (Internship Start – schedules – communication – PRACTICUM GOAL-CONTRACT design). STEP 2 – First draft of PRACTICUM GOAL PAPER / CONTRACT AGREEMENT submitted (send Draft#1 via email attachment to SITE Supervisor for review) by December 10th
STEP 3 – COACHING INTERNSHIPS MUST Complete all School District (PA coaching paperwork) with Athletic Director). SEE CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: http://www.scasd.org/Page/30326
TO BE COMPLETED – 495 Internship Certs – SCHS Requirements 2016 (pdf) ***Interns cannot coach (on the field) for any summer camps until ALL paperwork is completed
INTERNSHIP PROCESS – EXPECTATIONS – ASSESSMENT
STEP 1 – Meet with SITE Supervisor to finalize – review – sign PRACTICUM GOAL PAPER / CONTRACT prior to starting Coaching Internship. Must have all School District paperwork completed and cleared with State College Athletic Director.
STEP 2 – Submission and review of WEEKLY REPORTS with SITE Supervisor (see weekly report pdf) 495B Weekly Report Template
