Before preparing the glazing for the greenhouse, team members attended the local church service. During the beautiful sermon, everyone was formally introduced and received a warm welcome. While Megan chopped up vegetables for dinner, Nikki and Brett traveled to the market to pick up scissors and markers to cut the glazing.
After checking, re-checking, and checking again, we determined that the proper cuts were marked for the glazing. The team is excited to add this to the framework for finishing touches! In the evening, we enjoyed a traditional Zambian dish – Nshima with vegetables. Learning to eat with your hands is quite the experience..
Aya and Brett continued to revise the decision-support tool to fill in some of the existing gaps for the context of Zambia. Megan and Staci began to prepare information to sell the greenhouse to community members who are unfamiliar with greenhouses. The entire team is happy to have such enthusiastic growers on board!
