Idea1: Gratitude and spirituality. I strongly believe that everything in life happens for a reason and there is a force that guides the things that happen in our life. Whether something good or bad happened I believe in being grateful, thankful, and thinking how the outcome could have been worse. I believe that everything happens whether good or bad to protect us from something even worse and through practicing gratitude I will be grounded and more calm. “Everything happens for a reason”
Idea2: I believe that energy is contagious. Therefore, what you choose to put your energy into or the people you choose to hang out with are going to affect how you feel and how you act.
Ideas for “Passion Blog”:
Idea1: Writing reviews for the movies, shows, and books I watch or read. I will give a rating for the movie and talk about the narrative and how the story unfolds.
Idea2: Food blog of different restaurants in state college and recipes i’ve tried on campus. The blog will include details about the taste and food terminology.
Ideas for Civic Issues blog: Identities and rights theme:
Idea1: How does being a person of color or black affect ones wealth in America? Is the wealth gap between white people and black people still huge at this day and age? This civic issue blog will focus on the economic effect and disparities early racism caused to people and women of color in America
Idea2: Do immigrants face racism and discrimination when they migrate? Are immigrants of color treated differently than white immigrants? This civic issue blog focuses on the effect that race has on the way immigrants are treated.
I really like all your ideas. For your passion blog, I liked the reviews for movies, shows, and books idea. But, I think you should focus on one of them, rather than all three. This way you can dig deeper into each one. For your civic issues blog, I loved the second idea, the immigrants one. As an immigrant myself, I know there is a lot to talk about regarding that topic, including laws and personal experiences. So you will definitely have a lot to do with that one. Finally, for your podcast ideas, you can really tie in both of your ideas into one, since both have to do kind of with spirituality and gratitude. This seems really interesting, and I am looking forward to reading about what you have to say. Great job!
