“Mohenjo Daro” is a 2016 movie directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and starring Hrithik Roshan. This movies genre is mainly adventure, however it is also action, war, drama, and historical fiction. The tale of a young farmer called Sarman who journeys to the city of Mohenjo Daro in search of his wealth is depicted in the movie. Mohenjo Daro is set in the ancient Indus Valley culture that peaked around 2600 BC.
The political and social state of Mohenjo Daro, one of the oldest towns in the world, are central to the movie’s storyline. The main character, Sarman, is attracted to the beauty and grandeur of the city, but he quickly learns that Mohenjo Daro is troublesome. As the city is built on greed and lies. Maham, the city’s unjust and greedy ruler, abuses the people of the city for personal benefit. Maham was kicked out from a city before due to his greed. So he came to Mohenjo Daro and quickly rose to power as he blinded the leaders of the city. He claimed he wanted the best for the city and the people but all he wanted was revenge on the previous city. So he drifted the rivers route to make Mohenjo Daro the main spot and the other city without water. He also kills the righteous rulers of Mohenjo Daro to ensure his position is not threatened. Anyone who threatens or disobeys him is brutally killed. The bodies of these victims then act as a lesson to all the other people as they are hung outside for eternity.
The city was divided into two parts. The beautiful upper city for the rich and the poor lower city where most of the citizens lived. The upper city is a fortified area that serves as the religious and royal center of the city. The city also had a big market where people would travel from all over the area to trade. The marketplace, which facilitated trade and commerce, was situated close to the city’s primary entryway.
The film’s spectacular production design and visual effects are its greatest assets. The intricate city building, vibrant costumes, and jewelry, as well as the way that the old society was recreated by the directors, are all excellent examples. The movie does an excellent job of transporting the spectator to this prehistoric age, and Mohenjo Daro’s grandeur is truly something to witness.
The music and dancing in the film are another noteworthy element. The dance moves are lively and energizing, and the tunes are catchy and well-composed. Particularly remarkable and memorable is the film’s conclusion, which includes a dance-off between Hrithik Roshan and Kabir Bedi.

This was very interesting to read about! I always love good action movies, and this one seems like it would keep me engaged throughout. I think its crazy how much power Maham was able to get even after getting kicked out of the city, and how he was able to continue manipulating/using people for his personal gain. This review definitely has me intrigued – I’ll have to give it a watch in my free time!
