Rebecca DeSipio

Rebecca is a senior majoring in Electrical Engineering. She is interested in antennas, communications, and RF engineering. As the President, she is responsible for general oversight of HKN, which includes running meetings, giving presentations to members, and providing general guidance and accountability when dividing up responsibilities among officers. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys running, kayaking, flying RC planes, and spending time with family and friends.

Rahul is a Senior in Computer Engineering and Applied Mathematics with a specialization in both Embedded Systems and Numerical Methods. In this position, his job is to work with Tutoring Chair and the President to assist them in their various jobs.



Maria Buzzoni

Maria is a senior in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Control Systems. In this position, she is primarily responsible for managing the financial aspects of the honor society and works closely with Associated Student Activities. She is also avidly involved with the Penn State Chapter of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers as well as the Pride of the Lions Pep Band.


Dhruv Garg

Dhruv is a junior majoring in Computer Science Engineering with minors in Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Economics. In this position, he is primarily responsible for organizing tutoring events to help undergraduates in EE and CMPEN coursework. Outside of the classroom he is also involved with ISC (International students council) as a liaison, and Penn State’s Family Program as an ambassador.

Mike Shero

Mike is a senior Electrical Engineering major with a specialization in electromagnetics. Mike is interested in radar, RF, and antennas. In this position, Mike is responsible for maintaining records at officer meetings and general HKN events. Mike also helps out with HKN’s social media presence, corporate relations, and tutoring activities. In his spare time, Mike enjoys smoking various kinds of meats, gardening, and fixing cars.


Professor Tim Kane

Dr.Kane is a Professor of Electrical Engineering at Penn State. Dr. Kane joined Penn State in 1992 in a joint appointment with the Applied Research Laboratory where he is a Research Associate. He is also an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Meteorology. He received his Bachelors, Masters and Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
