We are a network of established and emerging scholars who study the Holocaust and its aftermath using diverse cultural approaches. We share a commitment for innovative interventions that revisit questions of representability and irrepresentability and employ different and experimental categories that have so far received little attention, if any. The Network aims to be a dynamic platform that reflects and advances the work-in-progress of scholars’ thinking and writing on the Holocaust and related themes.
Since January 2021, we engage in monthly zoom meetings with scholars from around the world (Germany, USA, Poland, the Netherlands, Israel, Austria, the UK), to discuss and present our analyses. The Network provides a forum for delving deep into issues, methods, and perspectives on questions that concern us all, while staying informal and enjoying the benefits of talking to awesome people in a pleasant atmosphere.
If you want to learn more about our network’s activities, and perhaps join us, feel free to contact Ella Falldorf (ella.falldorf@uni-jena.de) and Kobi Kabalek (kabalek@psu.edu).
Our first in-person public symposium will take place September 23-24, 2024, at the Pennsylvania State University.
