This award was established in 1997 in memory of Thomas V. N. Ballantine, MD, an accomplished pediatric surgeon and an ardent supporter of the arts and humanities.
The Ballantine Award supports medical student activity in the arts, including visual arts, performing arts, creative writing, sculptural arts, or movement arts. Projects awarded will benefit not only the individual but the entire community. Projects can be original created works or curated exhibitions. Student use funds for art projects and installations.
Grants will be awarded to cover the costs of materials and professional services incurred in the production of selected projects.
Application Details
Applications should describe the project and articulate its community focus in up to 2 pages, including a proposed budget.
